Social Media Branding; Why You Need More Than One Instagram Account
A little while ago, a friend who has a very popular blog and a massive Facebook page asked me what was the purpose of having many social media accounts when I was going to be sharing the same message essentially on each one.
I told her then that because my brand was still growing, and relied on new entrants and readers for growth, I had to go where various sub-segments congregate. Not everyone is on Facebook. If I wanted a younger demo, I’d definitely have to go get them on Snapchat or Instagram or Muscial.ly app.
The same can be said for the reason a brand should have more than one Instagram account. It’s all about being specific and catering to sub-market of customers or different audiences. It’s all about audience segmentation. I talk about it here:
