We lost a great mind in Marvel co-founder Stan Lee this week but his words live forever in remarkable quotes he leaves behinds for writers and others.
My 10-year old daughter is an aspiring short story and script writer. She writes poetically and vividly describes her subjects, their moods, the settings and she sets up stories well. She doesn’t read too much though and I need to do a better job to encourage her to read more than what she reads in school. She’s a straight A student but unless she reads more, she will not be the best writer she can be.
This week with Lee’s, I started to see all of these quotes attributed to the phenomenal comic book writer, producer, director and creator of so many fantastic superheroes, characters and settings.
I started to realize that a lot of the quotes attributed to him connected reading to writing! Excellent. So I started collecting them. I sourced most from Saying Images but added a few others.
Here are my top 10!
